Many older adults look forward to spending quality time with those close to them, either relatives, “families of choice,” or friends and neighbors in their retirement years.
During the pandemic, many more grandparents stepped up to watch their young relatives. Parents turned to grandparents and other older relatives to supervise remote learning, and provide support for the whole household. Grandparents can help children grow confidence, cope with stress and have fewer behavioral issues as they get older.

Grandparents as Parents
ONE Generation Grandparents as Parents Kinship program provides counseling services and case management services through therapy/support groups and information and referral for grandparents or any relative caregivers who live in Los Angeles County.
